COLUMBUS – A tanker fire on the US 33 overpass over I-270 on the Northwest Side Monday morning shut down the Outerbelt from Worthington to Hilliard.
No injuries had been reported in the accident, which was first reported at 10:34 a.m.
Dublin Police and Fire crews are on the scene and appeared to have contained the flames by 11:23 a.m.
I-270 westbound is closed at State Route 315 and the northbound lanes were shut down at I-70.
U.S. Route 33 was closed in between Avery and Frantz Roads.
Flames could be seen on the overpass as well as in the grassy areas east of the bridge.
