COLUMBUS – A 12th grader from Pickaway County is the winner of the contest to design a new sticker given to Ohio voters when they cast ballots in person or by mail.

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose’s ‘I Voted’ sticker contest attracted over 2,000 entries from sixth to 12th grade students and the design submitted by Emily Legg, from Teays Valley High School in Ashville (above left), ended up getting the most votes.

“This isn’t just about a sticker. This is about something much bigger than that,” LaRose (above right) said. “This is about getting young Ohioans excited about voting.”

LaRose selected three finalists earlier this month and more than 15,000 votes were cast for Legg’s design.
