COLUMBUS – Columbus police have arrested one suspect in the death of a missing Maryland man whose body was found on the West Side in January, but they are still searching for a second man in connection with the crime.
UPDATE 8/30/23 9:24 a.m.: Police say Tajuan Smith has turned himself in and is the Franklin County Jail.
Detectives have filed arrest warrants charging William Robertson, 44, and Tajuan Smith, 24, with murder in the death of 44-year-old Hajid Jordan, who had been reported missing in Maryland a week before his body was found in the parking lot of a business in the 600 block of Hilliard-Rome Road on January 24, Sgt. James Marable of the Columbus police Homicide Unit said.
Robertson has been arrested and is being housed in the Franklin County Jail but Marable says Smith (pictured above) is still at large.

One dead, one hurt in violent holdup
Police say one man was killed and another injured in a robbery on the Far North Side Thursday.
Officers dispatched to the 8300 block of Sancus Boulevard at 5:11 p.m. found Alejandro Fajardo-Torres, 43, suffering from gunshot wounds, according to Sgt. Michael Smith of the Homicide Unit. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An 18-year-old woman, whose name was not released, suffered from blunt force trauma and was taken to a hospital by Westerville Division of Fire paramedics in stable condition, Marable said.
The investigation continues.
