Makin’ It is from the television show of the same name and is sung by the show’s star, David Naughton. It’s his first and only musical release and was written by Freddie Perren and Dino Fekaris, who wrote Gloria Gaynor’s number 1 hit “I Will Survive.”
Makin’ It spent 21 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, two weeks of which were at number 5. The song also appeared on the soundtrack to the 1979 film Meatballs.
