The song peaked at #1 on the Billboard Top Tracks chart and gained popularity after heavy rotation of the video on Mtv. Even though the song wasn’t specifically written about actress Marilyn Monroe, the band would dedicate the song to her at live shows with a video of a Marilyn look-alike. Def Leppard performed “Photograph” with Taylor Swift in 2008 for an episode of CMT Crossroads.
