Name That Tune – Kiss – I Was Made For Lovin’ You

“I Was Made For Lovin’ You” is from Kiss’s 1979 album “Dynasty” and peaked at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100. Although Peter Criss appears in the video, he didn’t play drums on the actual track, instead drums were played by session drummer Anton Fig. The song draws heavily on the disco sound of the day (specifically written that way by Paul Stanley) and Gene Simmons has said over the years he never really like the song, because of his vocal part. It’s one of the few songs for Kiss that charted in the UK.
