Name That Tune – Madonna – Vogue

“Vogue” is from Madonna’s 1990 movie soundtrack album “I’m Breathless: Songs from and Inspired by the Film Dick Tracy” and peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 (and 30 countries around the world). Madonna was inspired by vogue dancers (and choreographers) Jose Gutierez Xtravaganza and Luis Xtravaganza from the Harlem “House Ball” community, she was introduced to the style by them at the Sound Factory club in New York City.” To learn more about the origin, watch the FX show “Pose.” The video (ranked as one of the best videos of all time ) to was directed by David Fincher, who would go on to direct the movies “Seven,” “Fight Club” and “Panic Room” (among others).
