The original inspiration for the song came after a romantic encounter Dave had with Stevie Nicks, after her break up with Joe Walsh. Dave attended a party, fell asleep in a bedroom and woke up the next day with Stevie trying on Victorian clothing, when she turned to him and said “Don’t Come Round Here No More.”
