“Don’t Do Me Like That” is from Tom Petty’s 1979 album “Damn The Torpedoes” and peaked at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100. Petty wrote the song when he was still a member of “Mudcrutch” and considered giving the tune to the J. Geil’s Band to record because he felt it had “their sound.”
