Grab your running shoes and join me for the 2014 James 5k Race Series, starting with two races this weekend!
Saturday, June 7th it’s the 7th Annual MoveMMORE 5k benefiting Multiple Myeloma Cancer research! Since 2008, the MoveMMORE 5k Race has raised more than $285,000 for the Multiple Myeloma Cancer research at The James! Runners and Walkers will enjoy a scenic trail through the beautiful Wolfe Park and all participants will receive a dry-fit shirt! Registration begins at 7:30 am and the 5k starts at 8:30 am.
Then on Sunday, June 8th, join us for the 9th Annual Jack Roth Rock ‘n’ Run benefiting Lung Cancer Research!Proceeds from the run will go to the Jack Roth Fund, created to promote the vital research and treatment necessary to combat lung cancer, through the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital, and to support Camp Netaim, a program in Israel for children with special needs. The race will take runners through central Bexley’s beautiful neighborhoods, and includes a fun filled morning with:
- Food, music, awards and prizes!
- The Marketplace will have local foods, clothing, athletic wear and more!
- Kids activities: face-painting and inflatable bouncy gym.
- Kid’s Track Dash returns for 2014!
The Race starts at 9:00 am!
The James 5k Race Series will feature five annual running events in Columbus, Ohio that reach over 3,200 participants and hundreds more that come out to support their loved ones in their quest to make a difference for cancer patients and survivors. Proceeds from these races benefit five different cancer research areas at the OSUCCC – James: breast, leukemia, lung, multiple myeloma and sarcoma cancers, and will raise over $247,000 annually. Join us as we race to create a cancer-free world.
