Report: OSU most valuable college football team

COLUMBUS – There’s gold in them thar Buckeyes.

A Wall Street Journal article valued Ohio State at more than $1.51 billion, the most valuable college football franchise by far.

Texas, at $1.24 billion, and Oklahoma, at a billion, were the next most valuable.

Alabama ($930,000) and LSU ($910,000) rounded out the top five.

The Buckeyes still fall short of the NFL’s least valuable franchise, the Buffalo Bills, worth $1.6 billion.
